The Orangery, Loventor Manor

Location

The Manor itself is part of a small hamlet, tucked away off-the-beaten-track and buried in glorious countryside. It is just 3 miles from the Elizabethan town of Totnes. Access is via a private lane leading to the parking/turning area and the gate to The Orangery. It has its own completely private “secret” garden with almost 360° views over open countryside. The garden has shrub beds, lawn and decking with picnic table, chairs and 2 loungers.

There are stone steps down to a lower area where the loveseat overlooks the small lake below. From there you can walk down to the lake and row the small boat or sit and have an undisturbed picnic. There are numerous options for doing nothing and relaxing the hours away. There’s a barbeque and floodlights in the garden. So even after a glorious sunset (which happens frequently), it can still be very pleasant to sit outside with a glass of wine (or two!).
